Phlebotomist
Part-time, Nights

Requirements:
* One (1) year of phlebotomy experience is preferred.
* BLS is required and must be completed prior to the end of the orientation period, a valid Pennsylvania Driver's License is required.
* Completion of a formal training course in phlebotomy procedures from an accredited school or training program is preferred.
* Public relations skills; verbal ability to communicate with patients; finger and manual dexterity to handle small equipment; finger sensitivity to locate veins.
About the Job:
* Perform venipunctures, heel sticks, and finger sticks to obtain blood samples for testing purposes.
* Properly identify patients and follow procedures for collection of specimens.
* Ensure that all information from the blood collection of specimens is entered into the laboratory computer system including time drawn, time received, and proper phlebotomist code.
* Collect chain of custody urine drug screens for pre-employment, post-accident, and just cause cases using proper collection procedures defined by the client.
* Pick up samples from nursing units as required.
* Perform other related functions as assigned by the Phlebotomy Supervisor.
