Team Overview: Our clinical laboratory department is at the forefront of medical diagnostics, providing critical support to healthcare providers and patients. Join us in advancing healthcare through exceptional laboratory expertise and services. Work Hours: Monday - Friday 9/9:30 am - 5/5:30 pm. Hours are flexible due to last patient. Position Overview:
  • Perform Walk-in Lab Visits for Phlebotomy: Conduct efficient and compassionate phlebotomy services for walk-in patients. Ensure patient comfort and safety during the procedure.
  • Prepare and Package Specimens: Properly collect, prepare, label, and package specimens for transportation and analysis. Follow established protocols and safety standards.
  • Perform Pregnancy and Urine Testing: Conduct pregnancy tests and urine analyses accurately and promptly. Adhere to testing procedures and ensure reliable results.
  • Timely Analysis of Specimens: Perform analysis of bodily fluids, blood, urine, etc., adhering to designated timelines. Maintain efficiency and accuracy in specimen processing.
  • Monitor and Report Test Deviations: Notify Laboratory Supervisor promptly of any deviations from performance specifications. Take appropriate remedial actions as directed.
  • Efficient Reporting of Test Results: Ensure timely reporting of patient test results to healthcare providers. Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in result reporting.
  • Electronic Health Record Entry: Enter specimen analysis and results accurately into patients' electronic health records (EHR). Maintain EHR integrity and compliance with data privacy regulations.
  • Monitor Analytic Performance: Monitor test analyses and specimen examinations to uphold quality and accuracy. Take corrective actions to maintain acceptable levels of analytic performance.
  • Specimen Collection Post-Appointments: Collect specimens as per medical requisitions following patient appointments. Ensure proper documentation and adherence to collection protocols.
  • Coordinate Send-out Labs: Identify necessary send-out labs based on testing requirements. Coordinate specimen transfer and ensure timely processing.
  • Additional Duties as Assigned: Perform additional tasks delegated by the Laboratory Supervisor or Practice Manager. Support laboratory operations and maintain a collaborative work environment.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Phlebotomy certification required
  • 1 year Phlebotomy experience required
  • Knowledge of EHR or EMR is strongly preferred
  • Must have a strong ability to work independently as well as an effective team member
  • Must have an excellent ability to analyze test results, computer-generated reports, etc., including superior follow-up skills and attention to detail

Pay & Benefits:
  • $20 per hour, commensurate with experience.
