Documents ongoingcommunication with the physical therapist. Demonstrateseffective time management and meets productivity expectations.Manage an accurate schedule. Demonstrates a professionalcommitment to provide frictionless patient access to carethrough flexibility, adaptability, creativity, and actions/behaviors thatdisplay empathy in our patient consumer driven environment Arrangesschedule for re-evaluations and discharge summaries to be done by aphysical therapist.Completes appropriatedischarge planning, follow-up care, and determination of equipmentneeds in collaboration with supervising physical therapist. Demonstratesinitiative in contributing innovative ideas for patienttreatment. Involves patient and family as appropriatein treatment and discharge planning through education andtraining. Provides patient treatment services including reviewof pertinent historical information, safely administering modalities, and providing interventionswithin the treatment plan's limits under supervision of licensed physicaltherapist. Collaborates interventions with other team members towardan interdisciplinary approach where appropriate. Recognizesand documents changes/response in patient's condition and contributes tomodification of the treatment plan in collaboration with, and under thesupervision of, a licensed physicaltherapist. Provides verbal/written reports as appropriatefor patient progress conferences where applicable. Takesinitiative in pursuing and directing continuing education forprofessional growth and competency for self and organization. Serves as aclinical instructor to assigned students as appropriate.Qualifications:Graduateof an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant school.Associate degreeas a Physical Therapist Assistant. Maryland,District of Columbia (DC), and/or Virginialicensure required as deemed necessary for yourspecific location(s). AmericanHeart Association's BLS (Basic Life Support) for HealthcareProviders CPR (Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation) certification.
