Job Description
- Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 16:30)
- Work location: Onsite; Santa Rosa, CA
- Compensation: $60 to $66 per hour
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities, mobility, strength, balance, and functional limitations.
- Identify any movement disorders or physical impairments that may affect patients' daily activities.
- Create individualized treatment plans based on patient evaluations, goals, and needs, ensuring alignment with physician orders.
- Establish realistic and measurable short-term and long-term goals for rehabilitation.
- Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions, including exercises, manual therapy, modalities (e.g., heat, cold, ultrasound), and gait training.
- Instruct patients on proper techniques for exercises and activities to promote recovery and prevent further injury.
- Regularly monitor and document patients' progress towards their goals, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.
- Teach patients and their families about the importance of physical therapy, self-care techniques, and home exercise programs.
Job RequirementsEducation Qualifications
- Physical Therapy degree from an accredited physical therapy program
Experience
- While not always mandatory, prior clinical experience, especially in home health, geriatrics, or rehabilitation settings, is often preferred by employers.
Licenses and Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
