Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health New York provides programs and services for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and dual diagnoses. Located at our NY Cares school in Mt. Kisco, NY, this position is responsible for planning and administering medically-prescribed Physical Therapy. They will complete all paperwork associated with assigned students Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) or programmatic needs, including, but not limited to: daily notes, monthly reports, quarterly reports, annual reviews, triennial evaluations, annual assessments, etc. The Physical Therapist will collaborate with teachers to support the classroom functioning of their assigned students and improving motor skills to the classroom environment. In addition, they will communicate with parents as needed to support their childs generalization of skills to the home environment as appropriate. The Physical Therapist may be asked to supervise Physical Therapy Assistants as needed.
Salary: $81,600+ annually, commensurate with education and experience.

Qualifications:EDUCATION: Physical Therapy license and eligibility to provide these services in NYS school settings
EXPERIENCE: Must have experience working with children/adolescents/adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities/autism spectrum disorders. Requires excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficient computer skills and mastery of Microsoft Office applications.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Free of dependency and abuse of illegal or illicit drugs, alcohol, inhalants or other chemical substances. Significant, prolonged, and frequent amounts of walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending, and lifting of 70 or more lbs. is required
