Physical Therapy Assistant - Hamilton Memorial Hospital District : Job Details

*Requirements:** Graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant school.* Associate of Applied Science degree.* Current CPR certification Knowledge of general Physical Therapy practice act.* Capable of communicating effectively verbally and in writing.* Knowledge of Physical Therapy policy and procedures.*Description:** Provides patient treatments utilizing modalities of exercise, heat, cold, massage, mobilization, hydrotherapy, light therapy, electricity and patient education as established in the plan of care.* Document the patient progress for review by other rehabilitation team members.* Instructs patients in proper gait techniques, exercises and use of assistive devices and ADLs.* Responsible for the personal care of the patient, environment and privacy throughout the treatment.* Responsible for proper care of orthotics, prosthetics, and assistive devices.* Completes billing procedures when necessary.* Assists in maintaining the Rehab Department and keeping the equipment clean/orderly.* Participates in hospital in servicing as assigned by the Director.Job Type: Full-timePay: $24.97 - $29.39 per hourBenefits:* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid time off* Referral program* Retirement plan* Vision insuranceEducation:* Associate (Required)License/Certification:* Physical Therapist Assistant License (Required)Work Location: In person
