About Us: WIHD is dedicated to providing comprehensive health services and medical specialties to individuals with developmental disabilities in Westchester and beyond. Our offerings include primary care, behavioral health resources, cardiology, podiatry, and comprehensive dental care.

PA Summary: WIHD is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant, preferably with experience in Neurology but willing to train. The PA will be responsible for conducting comprehensive neurological evaluations, including obtaining medical histories, performing physical examinations, and ordering appropriate diagnostic tests. In collaboration with a Neurologist, the PA will manage and provide follow-up care for patients with various neurological conditions, such as epilepsy, movement disorders, and neurodevelopmental disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with neurologists, psychologists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Educate patients and their families/caregivers on neurological conditions, treatment options, and strategies for managing daily living activities.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases, treatment progress, and care planning.

Qualifications:

  • Clinical skills and knowledge of neurological disorders, diagnostic procedures, and treatment modalities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach, with a genuine interest in improving the quality of life for individuals with IDD.
  • NY Physician Assistant License
