Job Details:Summary: The Department of Anesthesiology is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join us as we expand clinical operations to provide our patients with exceptional care in PPT (Pre-Procedural Testing).In this role, the PA/NP will work alongside experienced physician and APP (Advanced Practice Provider) colleagues performing physical exams and documenting anesthesia assessments in preparation for the patient's surgical or other invasive procedure. This is a full-time position in which the PA/NP works 4 flexible days per week. There are no weekends, nights, call, or major holiday coverage associated with this position. Responsibilities: Performing medical evaluations and documenting anesthesia assessments Coordinating patient preparation for surgical and other invasive procedures that require anesthesia Delivering direct patient care in conjunction with members of anesthesia Working as part of a collaborative team at MidHudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie, NY and HealthAlliance Hospital in Kingston, NY. Qualifications / Requirements: Candidates must be board certified as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner and possess or be eligible to obtain a New York State applicable license. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 1-year of applicable experience, although highly motivated new graduates with interest and abilities in anesthesiology or perioperative care will be considered and are encouraged to apply. Must possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate an ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
