Physician - OB Hospitalist (Part Time) - St. Tammany Health System : Job Details

It is a peaceful, scenic, community-oriented area with an abundance of amenities to suit every taste.JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTSScheduled Weekly Hours: 24Work Shift: 24-hour shift (7a-7a), 1 weekend per monthJOB SUMMARY: Diagnose, manage and treat obstetrical and gynecologic patients in the emergency department and inpatient setting. Provide input in the development of standard of care guidelines for Ob/Gyn service line.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be licensed by the Louisiana State board of Medical Examiners to practice medicine.
• Board Certified in Obstetrics/Gynecology
• Current BLS, and ALS certifications through any International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) provided courses such as but not limited to: Ochsner Health System, American Heart Association, and American Red Cross. The ILCOR course must include a manikin check off (ALS required by specialty only)
• Minimum of 3-years of Ob/Gyn practice post residency
• Practice-based learning and improvement
• Patient care and procedural skills
• Systems-based practice
• Appropriate medical knowledge
• Interpersonal and communication skills
• Professionalism

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting at least 20 pounds is required.
