TidalHealth is seeking an experienced, board-certified/board-eligible Psychiatrist to lead and expand the behavioral health services across TidalHealth's Maryland and Delaware locations. This is a full-time, outpatient role that combines clinical care with significant administrative and leadership responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in program development and managing multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:Leadership and Program Development (50%):- Service Line Development: In partnership with the VP of Population Health and Behavioral Health Directors, build, oversee, and expand the behavioral health service line, ensuring seamless integration across outpatient psychiatry, psychology, and inpatient vendor management.
- Administrative Oversight: Provide leadership for all behavioral health operations.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic initiatives to improve access, outcomes, and efficiency in behavioral health care delivery.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate and manage relationships with inpatient vendor to ensure quality of care and alignment with organizational goals.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and innovation in patient care.
Clinical Care (50%):- Provide high-quality, evidence-based outpatient psychiatric care, including evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment plans for patients.
- Collaborate with psychologists, social workers, and other mental health professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
- Participate in the design and implementation of outpatient behavioral health programs to address community needs.
Teaching and Mentorship:- Serve as a mentor and educator for medical students, residents, or other trainees as part of the organization's teaching responsibilities.
- Promote the integration of behavioral health education into medical training programs.
Qualifications:- Education: MD or DO degree with board certification/eligibility in Psychiatry.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of clinical and leadership experience in psychiatry, with a proven track record of program development and team management.
- Licensure: Eligible for medical licensure in Maryland and Delaware.
