The South Bend Racquet Club is looking for an outgoing and dependable professional to join our staff. The tennis/pickleball professional will report directly to the head pro. The professional will also work with our management to develop pickleball programming. At SBRC we have 8 tennis courts along with 2 designated pickleball courts. Our tennis courts are also lined for pickleball which allows for 20 extra pickleball courts when available. The facility also includes a full-service pro shop, the largest in the entire area.The greater South Bend metropolitan area is located just 90 minutes east of Chicago and has a population of more than 500,000 people. Home to universities like Notre Dame, South Bend boasts a thriving community of tennis and pickleball players of all ages and levels. On top of that, the South Bend area has one of the lower costs of living for individuals and families in the U.S.For the motivated and qualified professional there is the potential for 30+ hours per week of on-court teaching.Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teaching tennis private lessons, semi-private, and group lessons
- Developing a thriving pickleball program by providing lessons, clinics, and hosting events
- Assisting and leading tennis drills and clinics for adults and juniors
- Assisting and/or running tournaments and events as needed
- Creating memorable customer experiences to drive membership growth
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work nights and weekends
- 1-3 Years tennis and pickleball teaching experience
- USTA 4.0+ rating
- RSPA/PTR certified or ability to obtain certification within 12 months of hire
- RSPA/PPR pickleball certified or ability to obtain certification within 12 months of hire
