Job Description :

The primary job responsibilities of the Piece Goods Coordinator are to support Cut Ticket Management, Inventory Management, and Piece Goods (receiving, shipping, etc.). The position is full time, on site in Astoria. Our ideal candidate will be able to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities by deadlines, and assist team members as priorities shift. This is a physical, hands-on position. A successful candidate requires exemplary communication skills, knowledge of fabric types, and strong computer skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage outgoing fabric for domestic RTW/BRIDAL cut tickets and drive the team to pull fabric within a 48-hour period.
  • Manage all incoming fabric/trim receiving and requests from the NY team for warehouse transfers.
  • Assist in inventory requests.
  • Pull and send fabric for RTW cut tickets to the domestic factories and communicate with the production team.
  • Update Cut Ticket chart on the shared drive for RTW/Bridal.
  • Actualize RTW and Bridal cut tickets.
  • Maintain and organize a binder with cut tickets and copies of packing lists.
  • Communicate concerns to the manager, Raw Materials, and Production Teams.
  • Actualize cut tickets for fabric sent out complete.
  • Be prepared for weekly touch bases to review priorities for the week.
  • Handle warehouse transfer requests and send tracking numbers in shipment notice emails for fabric, yarn, and R&D.
  • Manage fabric inventory utilizing company-implemented controls.
  • Conduct cycle counts for fabric and trim.
  • Use Fabric Chart to view incoming fabrics and reference any fabrics while reviewing to determine if anything of urgency is required for factories.
  • Experience with shipping FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc.
  • Physical Requirements:

    *Must be able to lift 50lbs or more.

    Skills/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion; fabric knowledge is necessary.
  • Minimum 3+ years of fabric and trim experience.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
