Position Overview - Temp to Hire The Forecast Planner is responsible for predicting and supporting global brand demands. Utilizing analytical, marketing, and sales data, you will accurately forecast future product demands and work closely with operations planners, sales, product management, procurement, and logistics to ensure demand and supply alignment to meet or exceed customer expectations for quality, service, and delivery. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain forecasts while managing the connections between systems for forecasting, master production scheduling, and inventory.
- Work with Marketing and Sales to create sales forecasts and tracking metrics that ensure high customer service levels with minimal inventory.
- Address forecast gaps and overlaps, complete scenarios, and escalate issues as needed to meet business objectives.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure accurate data is available for S&OP process meetings.
- Participate in Sales & Operations reviews, prepare data and metrics for forecast reviews, identify gaps and scenarios, guide final decisions, and prepare escalations for executive review as necessary.
- Analyze supply and demand issues and facilitate resolutions between production planning and product management.
- Monitor forecast accuracy and resolve forecast-related issues.
- Drive continuous improvement in the forecasting and planning process by recommending and executing improvement projects.
- Maintain accurate and timely SAP and Arkieva master data.
- Provide support to operational planners as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Materials Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Operations Planning, or a related field.
- Minimum five years of relevant experience in planning, forecasting, inventory control, or supply management.
- Strong knowledge of Forecasting, MPS, and MRP processes.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP.
- Proficiency in using forecast management tools (Arkieva preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English (interpersonal, listening, verbal, written, presentation).
