Southwire Job DescriptionResponsible for Scheduling and Sales, Inventory, and Operations (SIOP) planning. Drive plant loading to deliver plant profit plan and monthly forecast accuracy. Also responsible for strategy and development of Master Production Plan and issuing executable level loaded production schedules for all product lines within the Youngsville facility. Considers customer expectations and overall profit plan when optimizing planning processes and scheduling resources.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
* Daily communication and coordination with Production Supervisors, Buyer / Planners, Engineering, and Customer Service to ensure schedule adherence to production plan to meet customer expectations and overall profit plan. Develops recovery plans when needed.
* Delivers detailed capacity and resource planning based on incoming orders and profit plan/forecast information.
* Monitors order backlog, incoming order rates and economic cycles to deliver information and strategies to deliver plant financials through the cycle. (order flow from customers and material availability from suppliers). Coordinates with all departments to ensure smooth flow of materials, information, and resources.
* Responsible for identifying and leading Supply Chain continuous improvement activities including supplier engagements, cost savings initiatives, process improvements, and supporting Lean projects.
* Develops MRP policies and planning methods to optimize both internal and external resources required to support customer delivery schedules.
* Optimizes customer service metrics using lean philosophies while minimizing inventory and costs.
* Notify the Manager when available resources do not support the production plan (MPS) or meeting the contract date is at risk.

* Four year college degree from an accredited school; and 3 plus years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in supply chain, forecasting, or SIOP
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence in English. * Knowledge of SIOP planning, materials planning systems, production planning, inventory control, and stockroom operations, Kanban.
* ISO or QS knowledge
* Leading strategic supply chain projects, high level of analytical skills.
* Basic knowledge of computerized inventory systems, scheduling techniques, general manufacturing, and ability to interpret drawings and prints.
