Job Description :

Job Title: Planner/Scheduler

Location: Tooele, UT

Duration: Direct Hire + 10% STI

Note: Those Candidates who can work on W2 bases are encouraged to apply

Job Description:

  • Review Customer Order entries daily
  • Review Customer Demand against current capacity and recommend changes to capacity as required.
  • Review Raw material requirements against demand.
  • Convert Customer Orders to Manufacturing Orders utilizing scheduling software/tools.
  • Review capacity plan to ensure timely completion of manufacturing orders.
  • •manufacturing schedule with Plant Superintendent and staff to ensure proper staffing.
  • Review raw material inventory daily to ensure levels are adequate to meet production demand.
  • Review and coordinate raw material purchases and releases with central Purchasing.
  • Coordinate delivery of raw materials and ensure timely receipts.
  • Publish and review daily shipping schedule with logistics partner and coordinate shipments.
  • Review daily inbound receiving schedule against expected deliveries to ensure timely receipts

Experience:

Planning:

  • Utilize Capacity Planning tools.
  • Regular correspondence with Purchasing.
  • Publish/review Open order reports with Staff.

Scheduling:

  • Daily meetings with Plant Superintendent and staff.
  • 99.5% conversion of unscheduled orders to scheduled orders, daily.
  • 99.5% completed releases of raw materials.

Purchase/Release Raw Materials and Components:

  • Review Inventory reports daily and weekly
  • Regular correspondence with central Purchasing
  • On-time delivery of raw materials and Components

Coordinate Inbound/Outbound Freight:

  • Daily review of published shipping schedule.
  • On-time delivery of customer orders.
  • On-time delivery of raw materials and purchased items

Education:

  • Associate degree is required; prefer bachelor's degree in technical or financial field of study.
  • 5-7 years of experience in planning, scheduling, and purchasing in a manufacturing environment
