We work to make the region a great place to live, work, and thrive.What will I bedoing?ü Research and assist in efforts to expedite project delivery of federally funded highway, transit, bike/pedestrian and other projects selected by the Transportation Policy Councilü Assist in preparation of meeting minutes and tracking amendments needed for H-GAC's 4-Year program of projects, the Transportation Improvement Program [TIP]; 10-year plan; the Unified Transportation Plan [UTP]; and the 2045 as well as 2050 Regional Transportation Plan [RTP] resulting from quarterly coordination meetings with local government sponsors.ü Compile and distribute list of amendments needed for the TIP and RTP to the H-GAC programming group and track the date when the amendments have been completedü Monitor and track status of the federal project development activities (design/environmental/public involvement) through to project implementation of projects in consultation with Texas Department of Transportaion (TxDOT) and projects transferred to Federal Transit Administration (FTA)ü Coordination with local government sponsors to identify priority projects to initiate and expedite through the project development processü Assist local government sponsors with federal project development activitiesü Manage consultants (in coordination with local government sponsors) to assist local government sponsors with federal project development activitiesü Schedule coordination meetings with project sponsors, TxDOT and other agenciesü Identify schedule risk items for project delivery and develop potential solutions to assist in project development effortsü Enter project development status and upcoming amendments needed (per local government sponsor coordination) into project information databaseKeyQualificationsü Project Management Professional (PMP) Certificate Preferredü Strong project management and communication skills are crucial for success in this roleü Strong data managementü Strong Organization Skills with Microsoft Excel Experienceü Ability to learn new database quicklyü Someone who demonstrates strong teamwork, an all hands on deck attitude, and are passionate about doing whatever it takes to improve the quality of life for our citizensDo you have...ü Bachelor's degree in an applicable academic discipline orrelatedfield of studyü 3years of experienceworking with local government, nonprofit programs, school or in job related duties
