The Common Hardware Group (CHG) delivers the silicon, optics, and hardware platforms for Cisco's core Switching, Routing, and Wireless products. We are a team passionate about technology, have aspirational goals, and love to win as a team.Your ImpactThe Strategy and Planning Leader will support the Senior Director of Planning and Operations and the SVP of the Core ASIC Group to drive business planning initiatives, manage the team's operational cadence, and ensure the efficient and timely delivery of administrative, planning, and support materials. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in strategic planning, a comprehensive understanding of hardware development processes, and a demonstrated track record of success in business operations and planning. Specific responsibilities include:
- Support and create the development and implementation of business plans, including resource allocation, risk management, and performance metrics.
- Collaborate with engineering, product management, finance, and other cross-functional teams to define operational goals and deliverables.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare presentations, documents, and spreadsheets to be shared at the SVP, EVP, and Board level.
- Ensure timely preparation and communication of monthly program reviews, quarterly business reviews, and annual planning documents.
- Organize team meetings, offsites, and organizational meetings as required.Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other related field.
- 10+ years of experience in business planning and operations roles.
- 7+ years of experience in networking hardware or semiconductor design businesses.
- Examples of excellent data visualization skills using Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, etc.
- Clear examples of business planning expertise including your ability to build and facilitate monthly, quarterly, and annual planning events.Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of Engineering optics at Cisco, including development lifecycle and processes, business planning, and budgeting.
- Strong analytical skills and financial acumen.
