JOBRESPONSIBILITIES: Repair and maintain plant machinery and equipment such as welders, pneumatichand tools, electric hand tools, pumps, motors, compressors, etcetera Repair or replace control devices such as switches, sensors, buttoncontrollers, valves, motor starters, etcetera Perform work order repairs, inspections, and adjustments Document repair reports Fabricate and modify new and existing equipment Participate in plant safety, health, and environmental programming Learn and retain skills and practices needed to complete duties in assignedarea Read and follow detailed operator instructions, installation drawings,blueprints, etcetera, as required Self-check work and inspect prior processes Use basic hand, electric, cordless, and pneumatic tools, as required Maintain a clean and safe work area Support 5S in work area Communicate with manufacturing and other cross-functional teams (engineering,materials, purchasing, sales, etcetera) to resolve issues Obtain and maintain a valid fork truck/stand up license - including completionof daily maintenance log and proper maintenance of equipment Other tasks as assignedWhat you need to be successful:QUALIFICATIONS: 4 years of experience in manufacturing and facilitiesmaintenance 1 year of experience with HVAC, hydraulics, pneumatics,mechanics, and basic electrical repair-120v & 480v (consideration will begiven to equivalent combinations of education and experience) Excellent attendance Must have experience using mills, lathes, drill presses,grinders, and other metal working machinery Safety oriented Strong and consistent attention to detail Self-motivated with the ability to stay on task Team oriented Basic computerskills are required Strongcommunication skills, verbal and written Maintain a validdriver's license Must haveexperience using mills, lathes, drill presses, grinders, and other metalworking machinery Strong mechanicalaptitude a must Knowledge ofbasic assembly processes preferred Able to: oAccumulate tools and equipment required to perform assigned tasks oLift 50 pounds waist high o Embrace change o Read andcomprehend documents and prints at a high level o Work overtime onshort notice Willing to: o Improve self /area / company (including pursuing additional training, if needed) o Develop a workingknowledge of company's systems (example: AS/400, maintenance software)Why The Shyft Group?We believe that when our people thrive personally and professionally, our business thrives.
