Plant 22 Thomson Heatset Reliability Tech D - C Shift
Position Overview
Position Objective: To provide mechanical support to the Superba area of the Heatset Department.
Essential Duties (considering job knowledge, job environment, effort, manipulative skill,judgment, safety knowledge, and responsibility):
1. Complies with procedures found in Job Requirement Book.
2. Performs all job duties using safe work methods.
3. Complies with Corporate Absenteeism and Tardiness Policy.
4. Works normally scheduled days adhering to starting and stopping times. Works overtime as required.
5. Comply with all environmental procedures and programs.
6. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
7. Perform daily specification sheet. (RQF5210 ( )
8. Perform Out of Spec Condition Procedure.
9. Investigate reasons for all tunnel stops. On yarn hang backs remove and waste yarn from Prebulker (H.E.P.)
10. Perform Daily Technician PM Check Sheet. (RQF5231 ( )
11. Perform P.M. sheets on assigned tunnels monthly S1-RQF5237 ( , S2-RQF5238 ( , S3-RQF5239 ( , S4-RQF5241 ( , S5-RQF5240 (
12. Perform necessary specification changes during a lot change (RQF5221 ( ). Record information on Lot Change Form and turn in to supervisor.
13. Answer double whistles.
14. Assists in rebuilding Frieze Unit as needed.
15. Perform Superba Cold Start-Up Sheet. (RQF5223 ( )
16. Perform any Mechanical repairs as they occur.
17. Complete Superba downtime form (RQF5232 ( ) and turn in to the Supervisor at the end of shift.
18. Perform profile checks on tunnels.
Clean / repair U buggies as assigned.
Non-Essential Duties (considering job knowledge, job environment, effort, manipulative skill, judgment, safety knowledge, and responsibility):
1. Assists other Heatset department personnel as needed.
Physical Requirements:
1. Ability to sit, stand, or walk for eight (8) to twelve (12) hours.
2. Ability to bend, stoop, squat, lift, carry, and reach frequently.
3. Ability to lift packages weighing up to seventy-five (75) pounds frequently.
Other Requirements:
1. Must have a high school education or its equivalent.
2. Must possess good interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
3. Actively participates in the Quality P.R.I.D.E. Process.
4. Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as required.
5. Must be able to work without close supervision.
6. Must demonstrate basic mechanical knowledge.
7. Previous mechanical experience preferred.
Training Requirements:
1. Must complete orientation training session.
2. Must complete job requirements training as defined in the training procedures.
3. Must complete EQA/Pride Training.
4. Must complete Quality System Training.
5. Must complete MSDS/Chemical Right To Know Training.
Tools, Equipment, & Material Requirements:
1. Responsible for safety equipment issued including safety glasses and earplugs.
2. Responsible for materials and supplies issued.
3. Responsible for equipment necessary to perform assigned tasks.
4. Must provide required mechanical hand tools.
Safety & Security Requirements:
1. Must maintain a safe and clean work area at all times.
2. Must report any unsafe conditions to supervision.
3. Must report all accidents no matter how slight to supervision immediately.
4. Must wear personal protective equipment at all times while in the designated areas.
5. Must comply with all plant and department safety rules and regulations.
Work Shift
12 Hr rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Act Calendar, shift starts PM, days change only
