*MANUFACTURING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Responsibilities:

  • Supply Chain Management:
  • Address and resolve supply chain issues with all suppliers for both production and non-production goods and services.
  • Communication and Coordination:
  • Act as a key contact for all purchasing matters, facilitating communication within the plant and corporate purchasing teams.
  • Acquire quotes from vendors for various teams, including Production, Maintenance, Shipping/Receiving, and Office.
  • Cost Savings Objectives:
  • Take responsibility for achieving yearly production and non-production material cost savings objectives.
  • Purchase Order Management:
  • Issue SAP BANFs and purchase orders after necessary approvals.
  • Conduct negotiations with suppliers for the plant.
  • Logistics and Asset Management:
  • Work closely with Shipping/Receiving on goods receipt discrepancies and Proof of Deliveries (PODs).
  • Assist Finance and Logistics with asset tagging and verifications.
  • Inbound Deliveries and Coordination:
  • Schedule, organize, and track inbound deliveries while maintaining communication with the requisitioner.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with all state, federal, environmental, safety, and hazardous waste regulations.
  • Data Management:
  • Manage required supplier data in AS400, SAP, DOXiS, and other systems.
  • Collaborate with Accounts Payable to assure timely supplier payments and resolve invoicing issues.
  • Problem Resolution and Support:
  • Investigate and resolve materials or purchasing-related issues with plants and suppliers.
  • Support MP&L team as required.

Requirements:

  • Possess a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in the purchasing field.
  • Proficient in SAP and computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, & PowerPoint).
