We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic finance leader to support our critical supply chain operations across our Acuity Brands Lighting and Lighting Controls segment. This experienced finance professional will partner with leaders across our North American Distribution Centers, including our Regional Manufacturing Facilities, to provide them with actionable insights to improve operating performance and service levels for our customers.

Responsibilities include financial planning & analysis for supply chain and advanced engineering organizations, generating actionable insights into financial performance and tracking those actions through realization, business partnering with distribution, manufacturing, and advanced engineering teams to drive business outcomes, short and long-term capital planning across platforms, and assistance in month-end close and reporting activities.

This is a remote position with opportunities for on-site collaboration across our footprint.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
  • Provide actionable insights to DC & AME leadership teams on the impact of operational decisions to drive financial results.
  • Respond timely and thoughtfully to ad hoc financial requests.
  • Analyze operational key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide financial insights and partner with Supply Chain leadership to drive positive financial results.
  • Oversee monthly close process for all sites, including preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements along with deep analytics of operational performance.
  • Participate actively in daily operations, shipment projections, and monthly operational meetings.
  • Enhance process management of CAPEX for the supply chain.
What we are looking for in you
  • Financial Knowledge: Understands and can analyze income statements and balance sheets; experience processing journal entries and analyzing month-end results is a plus.
  • Analytical Skills: Able to structure and process qualitative or quantitative data and draw insightful conclusions; exhibits a curious mind and provides actionable insights.
  • Attention to Detail: Does not let important details slip through the cracks or derail a project.
  • Leadership: Drives the assigned processes and has a strong voice in collaborating and communicating with business partners.
  • System Proficiency: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and familiarity with ERP and Query Tools (Power BI, OneStream, and Oracle).
  • Collaboration: Ability to work with cross-functional teams throughout the business.
  • Problem Solving: Provides practical solutions to problems, participates in product group and matrix partner kaizen events.
  • Communication: Ability to communicate clearly across multiple channels of communication (verbal, email, PowerPoint).

What you should have
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar area of study (MBA or CPA a plus).
  • 4+ years of financial analysis experience.
  • Conceptual understanding of US GAAP.
Travel Requirements
  • Domestic and/or International up to 25%.
