Summary

Drive financial excellence in production and operations through strategic planning, analysis, and reporting. This role will significantly impact the company's profitability and efficiency by developing and executing financial strategies, optimizing investor returns, and ensuring transparent and accurate financial operations. You will play a crucial role in enhancing financial performance at the Merced, CA plant, guiding decision-making processes, and supporting operational improvements through insightful financial management and robust internal controls.

Location: Merced, CA

Compensation: 120-145K plus performance bonus

Key responsibilities

* Financial Planning: Drive medium and long-term financial performance by managing budget planning and defining goals to optimize investor returns. Prepare quarterly forecasts to align financial expectations with operational performance, and collaborate on planning and reporting with specialist departments.

* Transparency: Enhance clarity in financial and process workflows at the Merced, CA plant by delivering timely key figure reports.

* Internal Controls: Establish and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure transaction integrity. Facilitate controlling processes to support targeted decision-making.

* Cost Management: Oversee the monthly financial closing process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP, statutory, and tax regulations.

* Investment Analysis: Conduct feasibility studies for non-filler Capex investments, track financial performance versus expectations, and identify savings to improve return on capital.

* Data Management: Ensure the supply of necessary data and information, and design and maintain controlling systems.

* Reporting: Prepare target/actual comparisons, interpret key figures, and contribute to improvement initiatives. Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement activities.

* Collaboration: Support plant director and manufacturing managers with financial insights for operational strategies and cost control. Assist with year-end financial results preparation and external/internal audit processes.

You bring these skills, experience & education

Education:

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with a focus on controlling/finance/accounting. CPA preferred

Skills:

* Communication: Strong speaking, writing, and presentation abilities.

* Technical Proficiency: Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams), SAP R3, Data Analytics. Knowledge of ERP systems (LN preferred), IBM Cognos (Controller, TM1), and QlikView/Qlik Sense.
