Leads month end financial result processes for a manufacturing operation including financial statement preparation and balance sheet reconciliations.Cost accounting analysis including labor variances, absorption analysis, PPV, and material variances.Overseas and reconciles inventory transactions and balances.Yearly calculations of standard costs including calculating fully burdened labor and overhead rates.Responsible for bi-yearly audit management (bank and financial audits) including providing requested schedules.Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.Guides accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions.Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.Maintains financial security by following internal controls.Manages and produces budgeting and forecasting models including supporting schedules.Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.Competencies

Education and/or Experience
- Must have a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and at least 6 years' experience, specifically in a manufacturing environment.
- System implementation experience a plus
Certifications
- MBA, CMA, or CPA with manufacturing experience preferred.
Travel
- Travel is limited if local to Red Bud, but occasional travel to other sites and corporate office may be needed. If located in Chattanooga, TN, monthly travel is expected.
Computer Skills
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint as well as other computer/web-based programs.
