Job Description :

A Day in Your Life at MKS:As a Plant Controller supporting our Massachusetts factories including Andover, Lawrence, Methuen, and Wilmington, you will partner with the Director of Operations to drive the establishment and attainment of financial and strategic objectives for the facilities. In this role, you will report to the Senior Controller of Global Operations.

You Will Make an Impact By:

  • Support and collaborate with the local Cost Accounting and Business Unit Finance Teams.
  • Manage month-end closing and prepare monthly financial statements and other operational reports for the site.
  • Analyze variances and communicate explanations to management with recommended actions.
  • Prepare forecasts of income statement, balance sheets, and statement of cash flows for each of the Plants.
  • Work across organizational boundaries and all levels of the company to achieve plant or corporate objectives.
  • Share best practices across the global finance team, e.g. process improvements, financial modeling, and procedure changes.
  • Provide proactive consultation, interpretation, and education of complex financial and operational matters to various departmental leaders to drive business decisions.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Manufacturing, Operations Controllers, and Senior Management to explain results, make improvements, manage projects, identify inefficiencies, understand operations, and lead the development of complex analyses.
  • Monitor and implement plant internal controls (in conjunction with corporate policies) to ensure reporting integrity, safeguard company assets, and identify risks.
  • Ensure proper accounting in accordance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles as well as local statutory requirements.

Skills You Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • CPA certification and Master's Degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of related experience.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
  • FP&A and Cost accounting experience.
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams in a matrix environment to reach a common goal.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Demonstrated expertise in MS Office and ORACLE financial software - experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) system is a plus.
  • Good planning and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Experience in handling multiple concurrent tasks and meeting strict deadlines.
  • Must demonstrate the highest standards of personal and professional integrity and character and promote ethical business behavior throughout the organization.
  • Must be a team player and act cooperatively with the business.
  • Demonstrate strong and pragmatic business acumen.

Supervisory Scope:This role will report into the Director of Finance - VSD Operations. While it has no immediate direct reports, it will have close collaborative relationships with Cost Accounting and FP&A.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:Perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods of time. Regularly requires good manual dexterity and coordination. Must be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information. The ability to observe documents and details at close range (within a few feet of the observer). Operates in a professional office environment. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery. Noise level in the work environment is usually average.

*This position is a hybrid role requiring 3-4 days onsite weekly with the remainder able to work remotely. Candidates must live within commuting distance to Andover, MA and Wilmington, MA. Can be primarily based from one of these locations but will support Mfg between both locations so may need to visit regularly.
