**The Job:**
As a Plant Controller, you'll be part of our T&O Finance team working as an on-site employee. You'll get to:
+ The Plant Controller position is accountable for the accurate and timely Financial & Accounting operations of the site.
+ Ownership of the plant's Balance Sheet reporting (US GAAP), Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and fostering a strong control environment, providing periodic operations financial reports (Actuals, Forecast, Budget, KPIs), and leading with Integrity.
+ Managing a complete and thorough month end close process.
+ Maintain inventory control procedures and assist in their development. Coordinate and schedule year end plant physical inventory, working with all areas in assigning responsibility and monitoring for readiness.
+ Correspond with outside warehouses and auditors relating to scheduling, etc.
+ Oversee preparation and analyses of specific accounts to assist and comply with standards of the internal year end audit.
+ Monitor and review fixed asset expenditures and issue status reports by period.
+ Proactively identifying business or accounting risks and implementing countermeasures where appropriate.
+ Support integration projects related to the Legacy MTD operations into the Legacy SBD business operating procedures.
Functions as a business partner with the Plant Manager to effectively manage and control all facets of the plant's efficiency and productivity by:
+ Framing financial and operational issues in a complete business case format and positively contributing to the strategic direction in the plant.
+ Providing Scenario Modeling and ad hoc analysis to help drive decisions.
+ Leading and/or participating in presentations to plant employees, plant management; and corporate teams.
Provides operational financial reporting, financial analysis and manufacturing cost analysis by:
+ Preparing and managing actual, forecast, and budget scenarios throughout the course of the year.
+ Analyzing and interpreting plant performance, evaluating variances and assessing the effects on plant results.
+ Serving as project manager on cost reduction initiatives, working cross functionally with engineers, procurement, and plant operators to drive cost reductions.
Leads a high-performance Financial Team by:
+ Supervise a staff of five accounting and clerical professionals spanning responsibilities including financial accounting, budgeting, fixed assets, cost accounting, accounts payable.
+ Establishing clear roles & responsibilities for each team member while promoting finance team members engagement and involvement with other functional areas at the site.
+ Providing continuous coaching & feedback to drive team's personal and professional development.
**The Person:**

+ Bachelors Degree in Accounting/Finance required; CPA or MBA a plus.
+ Minimum 8-10 years' experience in manufacturing or operations environment.
+ SAP and HFM experience a plus.
+ Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications and possess strong background with information technology.
+ US GAAP Experience.
+ Strong standard cost and cost accounting background in a manufacturing environment.
