Summary Description This position provides daily administration of Kingspan Insulations Rockford, MN and Mendota, IL manufacturing facilities' accounting and finance activities, providing support with financial statement preparation and financial analysis, as well as continuous improvement of the accounting function. The Plant Controller provides timely and accurate accounting and finance services while complying with all legislative and corporate requirements, ensures an adequate system of internal control is maintained, general ledger accounts are correctly stated and classified, and that financial reporting is prepared in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), where applicable.With its US headquarters in Atlanta, GA, Kingspan Insulation, is a leading manufacturer in energy efficiency and moisture management products, offering high performance insulation, building wraps and pre-insulated HVAC ductwork. Other duties may be assigned.Ensuring work is performed in a safe manner and promoting a safe work environment. Regularly maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts, including posting monthly journal entries and completing account reconciliations.Conducting month-end and year-end closing processes. Providing monthly production variance analysis and investigating discrepancies. Preparing analytical reports as part of the executive monthly reporting package. Completing the following tasks in Comshare/Tagetik as part of the monthly close process: KPI Variance Analysis, Stock, Headcount Analysis, and Non-Finance KPI.Providing weekly/monthly spending reports and variance reports for plant personnel. Confirming GAAP is incorporated into the management of the business and reporting on IFRS basis, where applicable.Make sure appropriate internal controls are in place and supporting effective and efficient financial audits. Overseeing plant inventories and supporting stock provision calculations. Reviewing and approving accounts payable payment runs on a weekly basis. Assisting with the plant budget, if requested. Providing cost accounting expertise for the manufacturing operation by supporting the maintenance of the cost system.Working closely with manufacturing operations to ensure accurate and timely capture of all production costs and effective analysis of production variances.Preparing, reviewing, and updating standard product cost in SAP. Developing, monitoring, and analyzing manufacturing overhead absorption models, labor rate models, and energy models.Reviewing the monthly and yearly cost runs in SAP. Developing and maintaining thorough financial procedures and systems in accordance with Kingspan Group accounting manual.Assisting the Finance team in developing more effective workflow processes.Qualifications: Strong skills in mathematics, time management, organization, and computer proficiency, with preference given to candidates experienced in SAP. Must have working knowledge of business software applications, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word. Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is a plus. Critical technical and analytical skills are required, with a solid foundation in cost accounting. Ability to collaborate and contribute effectively to a team environment. Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures by using basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide).Reasoning Skills: Ability to deal with people in a manner which shows sensitivity, tact, and professionalism.
