Job Description :
- You Will:
- Manage plant financial reporting and P&L responsibilities for St. Paul's, NC and Spindale, NC sites.
- Partner with the Director of Operations to identify and measure ways to improve business profitability.
- Monitor, analyze, investigate, and report variances to standard, budget, and prior periods, recommending corrective/improvement actions.
- Coordinate the development of annual operating plan and multi-year strategic plans.
- Develop and maintain accurate cost records, supporting North America's annual standards cost roll and adjustments during the year.
- Perform product costing and profitability analysis, including make/ buy assessments.
- Execute month-end financial close processes, ensuring accuracy in journal entries, account reconciliations, fixed assets, inventory, payroll, etc.
- Prepare and present monthly financial reviews for Site Management and Senior Management.
- Prepare weekly financial performance projections and formal monthly forecast updates.
- Compile, maintain, and review operation metrics (KPI's) for Site Management.
- Analyze capital investment requests, ensuring healthy returns on investment while managing risks.
- Support the Site's inventory reporting requirements and reduction efforts, coordinating inventory cycle count programs and audits.
- Ensure maintenance of accurate and complete financial records in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, GAAP, Accounting Policies and Procedures.
- Oversee payroll process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Department of Labor laws.
- Provide financial measurement support for site projects (e.g., VAVE, Productivity, Cost Reduction).
- Offer proactive consultation, interpretation, and education on complex financial and operational matters to multiple Manufacturing Department leaders to guide our decisions.
- You Have:
- A BS/BA in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- CPA or MBA preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in a finance or accounting managerial role within a manufacturing company.
- Knowledge of GAAP.
- An understanding of financial performance drivers, accounting principles, procedures, and systems, along with internal controls.
- Experience researching, retrieving, organizing, and summarizing data for reports, financial journal entries, and financial analysis.
- The highest ethical standards and values.
- Experience with ERP and financial systems; experience with QAD and Hyperion is a plus.
