Job Description SummaryThe Controller will be responsible for overseeing and administering financial policies, procedures, and controls for Glens Falls plant location. This role ensures the accuracy and timeliness of financial forecast and actuals updates shared with the Plant, Business Unit and Corporate. Become a maker of possible with us.Key Responsibilities:System Development and Maintenance:Install, develop, and maintain a system of accounts and financial records in compliance with company policies and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.Ensure accurate, consistent, and timely recording and reporting of accounting and financial data to meet business needs.Financial Controls:Provide internal financial controls to protect business assets.Review, coordinate, and approve capital and operating budgets for Glens Falls.Financial Reporting:Prepare and issue all financial statements, reports, budgets, estimates, forecasts, and related statistics as required by the facility, Divisions, and Corporate.Analyze and interpret financial operations and trends, providing an early warning system to assess the effectiveness of annual and strategic plans.Forecasting and Planning:Develop forecasting procedures to ensure accurate and timely projections of future financial results.Undertake special studies to develop effective short and long-range coordinated and integrated financial and operating plans.Financial Advice and Communication:Provide financial planning tools, controls, and measurements for the facility.Offer financial advice and counsel to Plant Management on business operations, plans, budgets, and forecasts.Communicate effectively between the Plant and Business Unit and Corporate offices.Support various ISC reporting and forecasting requirement (e.g., ProductivityManagement:Manage the financial direct report and outsource partners.Qualifications/Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or related field. CPA or MBA preferred.Five (5) to eight (8) or more years of related experienceProven experience in financial management and administration.Strong understanding of financial policies, procedures, and controls.Excellent analytical and reporting skills.Effective communication and leadership abilities.Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.For certain roles at BD, employment is contingent upon the Company's receipt of sufficient proof that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
