The Draslovka Mining Solutions group is looking for a very energetic, self-starter person to join our growing finance team at our manufacturing plant in Memphis, Tennessee. Our Plant Cost Accountant will collaborate with other members of the team to provide financial and accounting support to executives and department heads who establish goals and budgets for the organization. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in accounting, have well-developed planning and organizing skills. This position will report to the Financial Controller and will be a critical team member at our Memphis manufacturing facility. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Provide analysis and financial review of site manufacturing costs (primary focus on variable and fixed cost of manufacture).
- Support site management with financial reports and analysis
- Inventory management (raw materials, semi-finished, finished, stores, and sub-stores)
- Analysis of material costing and valuation
- Provide support for annual budget development
- Prepare utility cost reports and utility usage trend analysis
- Month-end closing responsibilities - with heavy emphasis on process order review and closure, inventory adjustments, utility consumptions, raw material receipts and consumptions.
- Key financial interface with operations team and management
- Responsible for account reconciliations
- Conduct routine audits and prepare audit support documents
- Interface with supply chain organization related to freight and terminal costs
- Preparation of governmental and industrial reports and surveys
- Reviewing and auditing Stores cycle counts
- May assist in special projects for process improvements
- Support Financial Planning & Analysis Team
- Maintain Daily & Monthly Foreign exchange rates
- Process Monthly Intercompany Commissions
- Manage site fuel purchases and expense distribution
- Oversee precious metal purchases, movement, and losses
- Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Strong SAP experience is a must
- Accounting competency with demonstrated business acumen
- General knowledge of GAAP and SOX compliance
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and best practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 - advanced Excel skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
