Here, you will make an impact by:Ensure operational Environmental, Health and Safety compliance and accountabilityEnsure quality and regulatory compliance to all applicable standards (cGMP, ISO-13485, etc.)Drive continuous improvement in the quality plan using appropriate methodologies, including but not limited to: Lean Six Sigma, PPU, CQI, etc.Drive customer focus through prompt complaint resolution and corrective and preventative actionsEnsure appropriate supply chain performance (through the eyes of the customer) through responsiveness, delivery performance, capacity management, supplier management and appropriate inventory management including working and non-working inventory managementDrive sustainable improvements in factory cost through application of LSS, entitlement thinking, yield improvement and plant productivity considering all global extended value streamsPartner with the global business teams to insure strong alignment of plant goals, metrics and targets with the business/division targetsSupport preparation activities for BT Go Live as appropriateYour Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited universityThree (3) years of supervisory and/or management experience in a private, public, government or military environment Five (5) years of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environmentAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Certified LSS BB or MBBExperience in Operations ManagementExpert knowledge and experience in production management, lean manufacturing and materials controlStrong Communication and Change Management skillsExperience in Lean manufacturing methodologies in driving value stream improvement.Prior Plant Manager ExperienceWork location - Hutchinson, MNTravel: May include up to 10% domestic/internationalRelocation Assistance: Is authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Responsibilities of this position may include direct and/or indirect physical or logical access to information, systems, technologies subjected to the regulations/compliance with U.S. Export Control Laws.U.S. Export Control laws and U.S. Government Department of Defense contracts and sub-contracts impose certain restrictions on companies and their ability to share export-controlled and other technology and services with certain non-U.S. persons (persons who are not U.S. citizens or nationals, lawful permanent residents of the U.S., refugees, Temporary Residents (granted Amnesty or Special Agricultural Worker provisions), or persons granted asylum (but excluding persons in nonimmigrant status such as H-1B, L-1, F-1, etc.) or non-U.S. citizens.To comply with these laws, and in conjunction with the review of candidates for those positions within 3M that may present access to export controlled technical data, 3M must assess employees' U.S. person status, as well as citizenship(s).The questions asked in this application are intended to assess this and will be used for evaluation purposes only. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
