We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to provide technical expertise in maintaining and optimizing plant operations. This role involves troubleshooting, equipment repair coordination, and improving long-term reliability and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operations Support: Assist with troubleshooting and repairs for electrical systems and equipment during daily plant operations and scheduled turnarounds.
- Project Input: Contribute to capital project scope and engineering designs, ensuring a safe, efficient, and cost-effective plant setup.
- Data Analysis: Evaluate production losses and equipment failures using statistical tools; propose projects to improve operational reliability.
- Root Cause Analysis: Lead or support investigations into process disruptions and equipment failures, implementing corrective actions to prevent future issues.
- Project Coordination: Manage engineering, repair, and construction tasks for plant modifications and upgrades.
- Team Leadership: Guide cross-functional teams in developing and implementing solutions to enhance performance.
- Project Management: Oversee the design, development, and installation of key engineering projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field (ABET-accredited).
- Strong focus on safety for both personnel and processes.
- Knowledgeable in electrical engineering, codes, and industry standards.
- Hands-on experience with instruments like pressure gauges, flow meters, and level sensors.
- Practical skills in programming and troubleshooting PLCs, valves, motors, and pneumatic systems.
- Collaborative mindset—able to work well with engineers, technicians, and contractors.
- Familiarity with preventive and predictive maintenance tools for electrical and mechanical systems.
- Proficient in English with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to resolve complex problems and navigate ambiguity effectively.
- Results-oriented and committed to completing critical tasks with dedication.
Preferred:
- 5+ years of experience in industries like chemical, power, or pulp and paper.
- Knowledge of chemical process materials and construction standards.
- Expertise in PLC programming (including ladder logic).
- Experience with SAP or other CMMS systems and AutoCAD software.
