Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a Plant Maintenance Mechanic for a chemical company in Kalama, Washington. The person in this position will be doing pump troubleshooting, machinery/equipment repairs, and pipe fitting work in a heavy industrial facility. Pay: $35.05-$39.40/hr Plant Maintenance Mechanic Responsibilities:
- Performing preventative maintenance checks and corrective maintenance replacement on all equipment within a petrochemical plant. Including but not limited to drive systems, chains, belts, pulleys, sheaves, bearings, rollers, gearboxes, pumps, motors, piping flanges, valves, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment, pressure safety valves, tanks, and more.
- Performing safely and efficiently under extreme conditions including handling toxic chemicals, entering confined spaces, and working from great heights.
- Rigging
- Pipefitting
- Occasional welding
- Performing scaffolding activities
- Installing flanges, valves, and pipe blinding
- Various other maintenance mechanic duties as assigned.
Plant Maintenance Mechanic Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Maintenance Mechanic/Millwright experience, preferably in a petrochemical plant environment
- Common knowledge of rigging, pipefitting, and scaffolding activities
- Must have experience troubleshooting and repairing pumps
- Preference for candidates that have experience laser aligning pumps
- Knowledge of shop math
- Forklift Operation
- Ability to follow plant safety guidelines
- Able to interpret schematics and read blueprints
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen (including THC)
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check (to TWIC standards)
- Must be willing to work alternate shift schedules for projects/shutdowns
Plant Maintenance Mechanic Compensation:
- $35.50-$39.40/hour
