Job Description :

We are actively recruiting a Plant Manager for our client's facility in the Binghamton, NY area. The Plant Manager will oversee the overall manufacturing operations including manufacturing support, process improvement, quality, and direct P&L for this site.

This position will be responsible for optimizing

efficiency, quality, and operational improvement programs while accounting for safety, costs, labor, and support of strategic customer initiatives and projects.

This job will have the following responsibilities:

Direct all operations and expenditures to ensure optimal results to support the business plan and maintain compliance with all legal requirements.

Develop and drive continuous improvement initiatives in quality, safety,

leadership, productivity, inventory, supply chain, etc. Drive lean initiatives.

Serve as the site's primary customer contact - effectively maintain strong relationships, forecast demands,

resolve problem areas, and ensure technical and quality support.

Plan,

develop, and implement operational policies and goals to ensure the

organization operates at peak productivity and profitability.

Oversee plant project planning, budgeting, and on-time completion.

Propose and manage plant budgets, ensuring spending controls are in place to maintain predetermined limits.

Adjust plans, programs, and operations based on fluctuations in projected sales

demand.

Ensure accurate completion of monthly operations reports and updates to KPI dashboards.Work with

department managers and controller to evaluate plant performance vs objectives, operating costs

and project management status - adjust plans based on variances.

Coordinate with sales, R&D, and corporate engineering departments regarding

new business, product trials, projects, and capital projects.

Communicate openly, clearly, and directly with all employees.

Maintain exemplary leadership style, structured performance management, and

a leadership development system for the plant.

Partner with Human Resources on labor relations issues and

activities.

Address and resolve customer or labor complaints.

Develop employees for future advancement.

Maintain a visible presence on the manufacturing floor and effectively supervise personnel.

Qualifications & Requirements:Bachelor's

degree in related business or technical field, or equivalent education and

experience. 5+ years senior manufacturing management experience to include direct P&L

responsibility.Managerial experience in a high-volume manufacturing facility. Experience

managing in a self-directed work team environment. Proven

experience with lean tools and budget management, driving efficiencies and cost

reduction. Strong analytical, computer, and communication skills. Excellent

management, coaching, and leadership aptitude. Excellent

verbal and written communication skills.

Proficient

in Microsoft Office, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.**Relocation assistance is available for well qualified candidates.
