Job DetailsJob Location Crosby TX Oxide Plant - Crosby, TX Description The Plant Manager is the primary leader in the facility and is responsible for the safe, environmentally responsible, and efficient operation of all activities. The scope includes production, shipping, maintenance and construction and encompasses employees, contractors and visitors on site at the ALTIVIA Oxide Chemicals site in Crosby, TX. ResponsibilitiesPlant Operations
  • Implementing and maintaining management programs to improve and maintain safety, health, environmental, production, quality, people, cost and efficiency standards within the plant
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance is maintained for various agencies including, but not limited to, OSHA, EPA, DHS, DOT, TCEQ, etc.
  • Developing plans and controls that result in lowest cost operations by maximum efficiency in labor utilization, raw materials, and minimum investment in working capital.
  • Budgeting and control of fixed cost expenditures.
  • Ensuring the facility meets or exceeds customer expectations, including site audits and quality performance
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Maintaining adequate and regular communications with employees.
  • Providing supervisory direction of assigned personnel, including salary administration and performance appraisals.
  • Professional development of personal skills and of direct reports.
Performance Measurements
  • OEE, On Stream, throughput, actual production versus plan
  • Variable and fixed cost performance versus plan
  • Environmental and Safety performance
  • Implementation of growth initiatives
  • On time shipments
  • Annual Quality objectives
  • Annual performance reviews
Qualifications
  • BS Degree in Chemical Engineering, advanced degree a plus. Minimum 20 years' experience in chemical processing environment, including at least 10 years' experience as a Plant Manager or in management as a combination of Operations, Maintenance and Technical responsibilities.
  • Basicunderstanding of chemical reaction systems, chemical processing unit operations, and mechanical aspects of equipment.
  • Analytical, decisive, multi-tasked, and goal-oriented individual is required with the ability to manage time and resources.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to promote efficiency improvements
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, applied on multiple levels, including reports as well as strong training aspects
  • RCMS, ISO 9001/14001 experience is a plus
