The Plant Manager oversees the activities of the manufacturing operations through a team of Managers, Production Supervisors, and Team Leaders. This role ensures that we produce quality products that are delivered to the customer complete and on time.

The Plant Manager consistently improves the efficiency of labor, materials, and machines through the deployment of Lean Six Sigma.

Responsibilities

* Deploys Lean Manufacturing techniques in the area of quality, cost reduction, complete and on-time deliveries, safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations, visual controls and plant performance measures

* Provides leadership for employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training and development and problem resolution in a way that supports the Blueprint

* Monitors operations for efficiency and safety ensuring that all applicable regulatory requirements are met/followed

* Drives improvements in plant operations, manufacturing processes and standardized work procedures leading to productivity and efficiency gains through application of Lean Tools

* Oversees production supervision staff for all shifts

* Develops production schedules to meet internal goals and customer expectations

* Establishes and directs plant policies and procedures

* Monitors overall plant performance for production and quality standards

* Drives all company safety policies, practices and procedures to ensure 100% compliance

* Responsible for operational labor metrics, directs the team in Improvement Process and OEE metrics

* Facilitates Lean Six Sigma process improvement opportunities throughout the plant and be the plant ambassador for quality and process excellence

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Business or Operations Management

* 8 years of operations management experience in a manufacturing environment

* Self-driven, accountable, high integrity, open communicator, strong work ethic

* Intermediate computer skills in programs such as MS Word, MS Excel, and Outlook are required, fast, and accurate data entry skills

* General accounting knowledge helpful

* Strong time management skills

* Must be able to handle various issues simultaneously and prioritize

* Strong organizational skills

* Strong communication skills both written and verbal

* Knowledge of P&L - have had 5 years of P&L ownership

* Working knowledge of warehouse mapping systems and production scanning systems
