Plant Manager - SHR Talent : Job Details

Our esteemed client, in collaboration with SHR Talent, a renowned recruiting agency, is seeking a Plant Manager for an iconic custom shop in Nashville, TN. We are looking for a dedicated professional who can lead our client's vibrant team to ensure excellence in both craftsmanship and operational efficiency.

An ideal candidate for the Plant Manager role will possess exceptional presentation skills, strong communication, organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills as well as strong interpersonal, mentoring, coaching, and conflict resolution skills, a demonstrated creativity, adaptability, and flexibility in handling new situations and assignments, the ability to work independently, and maintain a positive attitude within a collaborative and accountable team environment

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the leadership and management team to set strategic goals and priorities
• Translate high-level directives into actionable business plans with clear metrics and timelines, fostering a team-oriented environment
• Monitor and influence daily production activities and metrics, working closely with the Production Manager
• Manage Quality, Materials, Engineering, and Production functions on a daily basis
• Develop strong working relationships with Finance, Human Resources, Product Development, and Sales professionals who provide support to the facility
• Maintain an inclusive, servant-leadership-based culture by actively engaging with the production floor daily
• Report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in a structured SQDCHr format with precise summaries of variances from the plan on a monthly basis
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to establish timelines and skill/technology development for the on-time delivery of new products
• Lead the facility in on-time delivery actions and metrics for open orders
• Work closely with the site Controller to prepare, present, and execute the operational budget for the Cost Center
• Prepare, seek approval, and execute capital spending as required
• Maintain a Safety as the First Priority environment within the facility
• Promote and enhance a product quality focus that anticipates customer expectations for premier-level craftsmanship
• Collaborate with the corporate Security function to ensure a safe and collaborative work environment
• Be willing to perform other duties that are reasonable within the area of expertise

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, required
• Graduation from a relevant school or program, a plus
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive leadership experience in production management
• Experience in successfully managing highly skilled artisans
• Proven experience in supporting growth through transparency, consistency, and disciplined execution
• Thorough understanding and extensive working knowledge of high-end craftsmanship and production, with an emphasis on the craft industry
• Knowledge of business practices and procedures related to craft-based facility management
