This client is a fluid power distributor of hydraulic, pneumatic and automation products with capabilities including stocking inventory, engineering design, manufacturing, assembly, service, repair, and installation. They represent brands such as Bosch Rexroth, SMC, Hydac, Eaton, Omron, and other major fluid power and automation product lines and have been in business for over 70 years.This Lancaster, NY location is a plant of 20-30 employees. They are looking for a candidate who has a high-end leadership background. The Plant Manager oversees the daily activities of personnel affiliated with the Service and Repair (S&R) Department. You will supervise the Plant Supervisor, materials and transportation and administrative personnel.Ideally, they are looking for someone with high-end leadership experience either in the military, or in the civilian sector. Having direct industry knowledge is not a prerequisite, but understanding how to supervise day-to-day operations of a facility, administrative department, staff members and team leaders. Responsibilities:- Develop, mentor and coach staff; collaborate with team leaders and coordinator team, Corporate HR, and Business Unit Manager, when necessary- Supervise day-to-day operations of facility, administrative department, staff members and team leaders- Hire, train and evaluate employees, taking corrective action, when necessary, with assistance from team leaders - Review and implement systems, policies, and procedures; ensure conformance with ISO standards- Work with coordinators to maintain various reports and schedules (sales, on-time delivery, warranties) - Work with the accounting and business unit managers to set budgets, monitor spending and process timecards and other facility expenses - Work with coordinators and team leaders to manage workflow for satisfying customers- Work with team leaders to effectively manage overtime and charge customers accordingly and ensure strong margins are achieved- Strong communication about future growth opportunities with the business unit managerBase salary + $2-3k in relocation base, and plant performance bonuses.Benefits:- 100% Employee owned, ESOP- Medical/dental/vision first of the month after hire date- A 401k with company match- Referral bonuses Job 57422
