Job Title: Plant Manager

Reports To: Director of Manufacturing

Job Summary: The position has the responsibility to manage the supply chain and manufacturing disciplines for Zeeco manufacturing departments in Broken Arrow, OK

Functional Job Duties:

Balance manufacturing budgets and proactively keep plant(s) absorbed.

Work with peer group with honesty, integrity and character. Must have a transparent willingness to admit failure and learn from mistakes.

Be part of and help develop a world-class supply chain team by motivating, coaching, training, and challenging team members.

Develop efficient processes and manufacturing methods ensuring world class cost control, quality, delivery and HSE.

Work with peer supply chain managers in regards to inventory strategies, delivery targets and proper communication where all team members are informed and driving to common goals.

Perform capital equipment justifications / recommendations

Promote and manage efficient manufacturing staff and facility utilization.

Travel and support global plants and processes as required.

Partner with the Quality department to perform forensic, root cause analysis and problem resolution.

Implement continuous improvement and lean manufacturing techniques to achieve gains in productivity, delivery, employee ownership, performance, safety and quality.

Analyze operations to optimize material flow, process layout, workstation layout and overall productivity.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in engineering, supply chain management or related field required

Previous supply chain / manufacturing management experience of 10 - 15 years is required

Knowledge of the combustion industry, fabrication, welding processes, electrical and mechanical assembly of electronic control systems preferred

Strong manufacturing finance knowledge required in absorption based model.

Extensive experience with continuous process improvement, lean manufacturing tools and methodical problem solving skills required.

Extensive experience and knowledge of quality systems, nonconformance identification and methodical / statistical approach to quality improvement. Must having working knowledge of ISO systems.

Proven track record of reducing costs through manpower productivity improvements, material flow process improvements and plant efficiencies.

Self motivated with the ability to effectively operate and or lead multiple manufacturing departments or business teams.

Willing to travel globally and relocate in support of supply chain needs and global satellite plants. Must have the ability to possess a US passport and live abroad.

Hands-on, team oriented, honest, loyal leader committed to business improvement processes and individual team member success.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent presentation skills

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work successfully across business disciplines

Strong computer skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office, Project Manager and Auto CAD.

Mental Requirements:

Must possess strong leadership, analytical thinking, effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with persons inside and outside of the company. Must have the ability to perform mathematical calculations related to job requirements. Must be able to work under stress. Must be able to handle multiple priorities. Must be able to process paperwork effectively.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to go up and down stairs. Must be able to communicate effectively. Must be able to do unaccompanied travel. Must be able to tolerate shop environment and exposures associated with welding and industrial equipment manufacturing, and apply appropriate safety equipment when required. Must not present a risk of injury to self or others while engaged in company duties.
