MBA Building Supplies is a leading firm in light gauge steel framing. A respected industry leader, MBA has been in business since 1986, and has demonstrated a strong pattern of growth with locations in Libertyville, IL, Rainbow City, AL, Dallas, TX, Frackville, PA and now in Plant City, FL.

MBA Building Supplies is currently looking for a Plant Manager to take on the responsibility of overseeing all the operations and production activities at our newest facility in Plant City, FL. The successful candidate will be accountable for safety, production, quality, people development, maintenance, cost management and other aspects of day-to-day operations at the facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive safety culture and implementation of the Companys safety program.
  • Drive continuous improvement in all areas.
  • Ensure great customer experience with near perfect OTIF (On Time in Full) performance.
  • Manage daily operations in our plant facility.
  • Ensure effective employee relations, provide employee coaching and development, make employment decisions, and resolve employee issues through problem resolution.
  • Balance and manage quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas.
  • Remain in compliance with facility standards and all guidelines.
  • Prepare, analyze, and issue production and performance reports.
  • Utilize ERP system to ensure accuracy and maintenance of all inventory/production records.
  • Control costs to achieve company budget goals.
  • Keep and implement a comprehensive preventative maintenance program.
  • Coordinate with supply chain team to maintain proper inventory levels.
  • Manage department priorities.
  • Schedule and manage production schedule.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant field
  • Prior management and supervisory skills
  • 10+ years' experience in manufacturing plant operations and working and managing a diverse workforce
  • Spanish speaking a plus
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements for operating plants
  • Able to lead root cause analysis investigations and implementation of improvements
  • Proficient with MS Office and systems
  • Able to explain training material to employees
  • Aptitude for equipment operation and troubleshooting
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Six sigma or lean certification preferred
