We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Plant Manager to oversee all aspects of our plant operations. This role will be instrumental in ensuring safety, production efficiency, maintenance, quality assurance, and effective human resource management. As the Plant Manager, you will lead a diverse team, implement process optimizations, and drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead by example in promoting safety practices and compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Supervise all plant functions, including production, maintenance, and quality assurance.
- Implement maintenance programs to enhance operational reliability.
- Ensure production goals are consistently met or exceeded.
- Develop and enforce policies for employee training and plant security.
- Manage staffing levels and drive recruitment, training, and performance management.
- Utilize continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma) to enhance operational efficiency.
- Oversee budget management, ensuring cost-effective operations.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and maintain necessary permits.
- Prepare and submit recommendations for capital investments and process enhancements.
- Engage with the community and represent the company in service activities.
Qualifications:
- Technical, Associate, or Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of manufacturing experience with 3-5 years in a management role, preferably in wood products.
- Strong focus on safety and demonstrated leadership ability.
- Proficient in budget management, inventory control, and scheduling.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and methodologies.
- Ability to interpret statistical data and financial reports.
- Willingness to work in varying weather conditions and manage physical demands of the role.
