Job Description :

Join the world's largest independent processor and merchant of graphite, a private equity-owned company with a rich history and exciting future. We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead the daily operations of a key manufacturing facility in DeQuincy, LA. The plant supports strategic industries, including oil and gas. This leadership role will focus on streamlining operations, improving KPIs, and closely collaborating with senior leadership to implement new processes and drive growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all daily operations of the plant to ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead and mentor departmental managers to foster team collaboration and ensure optimal performance.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations.
  • Communicate plant performance metrics and progress to corporate leadership.
  • Manage operational costs, increase productivity, and oversee capital projects and contractors.
  • Drive continuous improvement by implementing lean manufacturing principles.
  • Collaborate with supply chain teams to support process optimization and growth.

Preferred Experience & Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience in plant management, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to motivate teams and build consensus.
  • Financial acumen, including P&L management and budgeting experience.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on collaboration, empathy, and relationship-building.
  • Experience with high-temperature or advanced materials is a plus.
  • Knowledge of lean processes such as Lean Six Sigma is highly desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize objectives in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation:

  • Competitive base salary ($150,000 - $180,000) plus bonus
  • Excellent benefits including retirement plan, health, and revenue share plan
  • Relocation support available for the right candidate.
