Plant Manager - Envision Staffing Solutions : Job Details

Our global manufacturing client is seeking a Manufacturing Plant Site Manager for a location in the San Francisco Bay area. The company has 70 sites worldwide and this ceramics division produces highly engineered, complex products for the electronics, energy, healthcare, industrial, petrochemicals, security and transport markets.

The Site Manager will have oversight of a team of 120+ associates with an IAM Union in place and direct reports in Production / Quality / Engineering/ Customer Service / Maintenance / Operational Excellence / Commercial Sales with a dotted line for Finance and HR.

This role will have full P&L responsibility and be responsible for delivering profitable sales revenue to committed budgets, performance improvements and cost reduction targets to contribute to overall KPI's & targets.

The Site Manager should be a champion in building team culture, to bring stability as a strong operations leader, to hold employees accountable.

We are seeking a very hands-on experienced and resilient manufacturing leader with a strong technical/engineering background. The site will be adjusting their production to meet demand and will need a good problem solver. They will work with the Operational Excellence lead to build and deploy the company's production system.

Requirements;

• Degree in Engineering, materials science other technical field of study.
• Successful management of manufacturing operations in a business of hardcore manufacturing, ie. ceramics, metallization, CNC machining, metal forming, or casting industry would be advantageous
• Union management experience
• Demonstrated ability to prepare and manage P&L budgets, and drive operations performance against financial objectives.
• Strong leadership and people skills
• Abilility to prioritize
