Job Description
Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Plant Manager to join our team at the Davenport, IA team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of production and operations at the facility, ensuring efficient and safe manufacturing processes while meeting quality standards and managing costs. This position reports directly to the Director of Operations for Meat & Cheese.
Responsibilities:
1. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety protocols.
2. Supervise and manage plant staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
3. Oversee the scheduling and allocation of resources to meet production targets.
4. Monitor productivity metrics and implement strategies to improve efficiency.
5. Collaborate with other departments on cross-functional projects related to manufacturing and supply chain management.
6. Coordinate maintenance activities to maintain equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
7. Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction.
8. Manage inventory levels and optimize stock control procedures.
9. Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork and employee engagement initiatives.
10. Communicate effectively with senior leadership regarding key performance indicators (KPIs) and progress towards goals.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience required.
* Proven track record of successfully leading teams in manufacturing environments.
* Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement techniques.
* Excellent communication skills with both English and Spanish language proficiency.
* Ability to analyze complex data sets and present findings clearly.
* Experience working within a large multinational organization preferred.
* Knowledge of ISO 9001 and GMP standards desirable.
