Summary:
The Plant Manager oversees manufacturing operations, driving safety, quality, cost control, and team relations to align with strategic goals. Leads continuous improvement initiatives across production, processes, and workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
- The Plant Manager will foster a collaborative culture based on company values: Integrity, Commitment, Partnership, Innovation, and Family.
- Lead operations in safety, quality, on-time delivery, cost control, and waste reduction.
- Develop policies for production, material usage, scheduling, and employee relations.
- The Plant Manager will manage the department budget and ensure financial compliance.
- Use production data to monitor performance (OEE, Cost/Ton) and optimize throughput.
- Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure facility meets operational requirements and maintain compliance with ISO and environmental standards.
- The Plant Manager will oversee capital planning and execute corrective/preventive actions.
- Report regularly to senior leadership on performance, challenges, and opportunities.
Qualifications:
- The Plant Manager must hold a bachelor's degree (technical discipline).
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in the Roll Forming (converts sheet metal into an engineered shape) Industry.
- Experience with the union workforce is a plus.
- The Plant Manager must have strong technical knowledge in roll forming, galvanizing, and steel processing.
- Proven ability to lead teams, drive change, and improve processes (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen).
- Strong interpersonal skills for cross-functional leadership.
- The Plant Manager must be proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems.
