We are currently hiring an Operations Manager for our Kenosha, WI location.

The Operations Manager will act as a “Plant Manager” for the Kenosha-site overseeing tasks not limited to planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the operation activities, including production, warehouse, personnel, maintenance, quality control, and safety. Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Operations Manager has “four-wall” responsibility in leading multiple teams across production and the warehouse, and is directly responsible for the day-to-day operations of the organization and the departments decision-making.

Shift: Monday-Friday 6am-4:30pm

Job description:

  • Owner of Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety, and Employee Engagement results for the Kenosha-site Operation
  • Lead, develop, & motivate a team of production and warehouse supervisors, leads, and operators by providing guidance, training, and performance feedback in a fast-paced environment.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, enhance productivity, and reduce waste and production costs.
  • Oversee overall Warehouse operation and ensure all operational procedures are followed effectively.
  • As cost owner, partner closely with Maintenance Lead on preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, efficient repair recovery, and root cause analysis with the goal to minimize unplanned downtime, and maximize equipment uptime.
  • Maintain constant communication with managers, supervisors and staff to ensure proper operations of the company. Schedule weekly managers meetings.
  • Create career development plans for direct reports.
  • Coordinate steady work flows for each department in the warehouse via spot checks on progress of associates and adjust staffing needs to maximize efficiency.
  • Maintain daily production schedules for departments to ensure that operational activities remain on time and within budget.
  • Manage data collection for the updating of metrics to achieve productivity targets, reduce cost per unit, eliminate errors.
  • Maintain staffing levels based on cost standards and production needs.
  • Manage site safety; develop a safety team.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 5+ years of prior experience in a similar leadership capacity.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, communication and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software, such as Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Strong working knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management.
  • Knowledge of lean principles and process optimization.
  • Experienced Leadership skills.
  • Bi-lingual, Spanish preferred

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in the food and beverage industry highly preferred.

Previous experience working in a lean manufacturing environment.

Certification in lean manufacturing, such as Six Sigma, or Lean Six Sigma

Cross functional experience in other plant functions such as warehouse management, maintenance, quality, etc.
