This company and this plant is going GANG BUSTERS! Business is great and they have agressive plans and is expanding their plant lines for this 100 person non union plant.

Experience: BS in Engineering or related degree with 7+ years of experience from ideally the Plasctics or Chemical Industries but may consider or manufacturing industries. Someone with demonstrated accomplishments in leadership and manufacturing growth.

MAIN PURPOSE (Briefly state the job's overall objective)

This is a senior operational role with full responsibility and accountability for the establishment and management of the Manufacturing, Engineering and Safety, Health, Quality and Environment (SHQE), Purchasing, Planning, Process Engineering and Warehouse functions

Position is responsible for adhering to all Company safety, health, and loss control policies and procedures. Participates in safety, health and loss control training so that at a minimum a general knowledge of applicable ISRS elements, OSHA, and state requirements is maintained.

Operation of the local plant

Dimensions: include Revenue, Sales, CAPEX (project in process now for 2023 (2 new lines)

COMPLEXITY OF THE JOB (i.e. The occupant manages vendors from different geographical regions with various financial and legal conditions and the level and impact of decisions the occupant needs to make.)

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operate with a “safety first” mindset to ensure compliance with OSHA, ISO, and other regulatory standards.

Manage and direct the SHQE function to the highest standards to ensure that all company health, safety quality and environmental management systems are developed, maintained, communicated and implemented in line with government / group guidelines and statutory requirements and are managed within the identified financial budget.

Manage and direct all manufacturing functions to ensure all NCM, Waste, Customer Complaints and Cost targets meet company goals.

Develop, improve, and implement operations and production plans in line with best practice and company global standards minimizing stock losses, implementing initiatives to reduce company costs and increase productivity.

Manage day to day operations, establish and implement policies and procedures adhering to all company global policies, laws and regulations.

  • Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
  • Manage and direct the day-to-day quality function to ensure all standards set for products are met and root cause, corrective action and recovery of any failures are identified and implemented.
  • Proactively drive continuous improvement and lean manufacturing from concept to reality.
  • Contribute fully and effectively to the monthly senior management meetings to help co-ordinate and address issues and shape the forward direction of the business.
  • Set a high standard of professionalism, quality, integrity and efficiency within the business and lead by example
  • Define and implement metrics for cost and operations improvements and ensure high levels of safety, customer service, quality and people development and be responsible for strategic investment decisions for cost reduction and service delivery.

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business-Related Field preferred.

Equivalent experience will be considered in place of a degree.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED (To perform satisfactorily in this job what types of qualifications or knowledge are required?)

Preferably qualified to degree level in a production or engineering discipline, with extensive experience in a fast moving, dynamic manufacturing environment.

Must demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of latest manufacturing and improvement techniques.

Previous experience and be able to demonstrate ability to organize, manage and motivate employees, with a sound understanding of employment law and HR aspects of employment.

The ability to work under pressure and deal efficiently with conflicting priorities.

Negotiation skills, able to negotiate with diplomacy and tact

A confident communicator and inspirational leader, able to effectively engage with and influence suppliers, clients and colleagues at all levels of the business.

Strong analytical insight and financial literacy skills, to assess viability of business improvement opportunities compiling and managing a budget, Capital Expenditure

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED (To perform satisfactorily in this job what types of experience is required?)

7+ years of experience in Plant Operations Management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
