Position: Plant ManagerYou could be just the right applicant for this job Read all associated information and make sure to apply.Direct Reports: Leadership Team (7)Reports To: Global Director OperationsSalary Range: $185k to $225kBonus: 25%Relocation: YesJob Responsibilities: The Plant Manager is responsible for driving safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance through collaboration, communication, and teamwork with the business team and 8 direct reports. Will establish the strategy for manufacturing as a key part of enabling company vision as a leader in renewable chemistry. In addition to this key role, the Plant Manager is expected to provide operational and technical leadership to the Operations, EH&S, Quality, Maintenance, and Logistics functions. Should be experienced in plant operations management, safety, quality, planning, and logistics, as well as technical support for a fully integrated specialty chemicals manufacturing facility. Position reports to the on-site President and is accountable for all manufacturing metrics of the plant. Candidate should have minimum of 5 years Operations leadership experience with at least 10 years of production/process engineering and design experience in a specialty chemicals plant. Demonstrated leadership in line management with an emphasis on meeting safety, quality and production targets is essential.Ensure compliance with all company ES&H policies and procedures including OSHA PSM compliance, MOC documentation, etc. Drive the organization to improve in all aspects of safety compliance and performance.Develop and manage the annual plant budget of $20 million, including capital expenditures, as a key part of the overall business.Manage the Operations team to meet annual production targets in line with sales and commercial budgets. Set the strategy and drive continuous improvement projects and capacity expansions to meet growth targets while insuring employees are fully trained and competent with respect to job requirements.Oversee the Quality Management System, and ensure compliance with the company Quality Policy. Have familiarity with ISO 9001 2015.Apply engineering expertise to technical operational problems and opportunities to optimize operating efficiencies.Maintain effective communications and working relationships with Sales, R&D, Finance, HR, and all plant operations functions.Stay current with industry developments and standards. Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering degree required. Masters or MBA preferred.Minimum 10 years specialty chemical manufacturing experience in Batch and Continuous operations.Minimum 5 years leadership experience in a chemical manufacturing environment.Prior leadership experience in a union environment is highly desired.Experience in process design and improvement including batch and continuous reactors, distillation, and solids handling.Demonstrated capability in developing operating budgets and delivering year-end financial targets.Established history of driving process efficiency and improved financial performance through continuous improvement.Prior experience working within formal Quality Management Systems.Process trouble shooting and debottlenecking ability related to improving efficiency, capability, and safety.Exposure to cGMP would be a plus.Must be an US citizen.
