Job Type Full-time Description Summary Manage daily operations activities through a team of managers and supervisors to ensure increasing levels of efficiency, production and organization at Southwest Iowa Renewable Energy. Essential Responsibilities and Duties

  • In collaboration with department managers, optimize team structure, define roles/responsibilities, and create a culture of accountability.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and schedule corrective actions to meet production, efficiency and quality goals.
  • In collaboration with Director of Operations, recommend purchases of new equipment and improvements to plant property.
  • In collaboration with the Engineering Manager, coordinate continuous improvement projects as needed.
  • Keep up-to-date on strategy and technology affecting business to drive innovation and ensure compliance.
  • Gather details to thoughtfully contribute to improvement exercises such as, but not limited to, root cause analyses, process hazard assessments, and management of change.

Requirements Qualifications
  • Ability to use technology tools to drive objective, data-driven decision making.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical discipline required. MBA or advanced degree a plus.
  • 5 years or more of plant operations and/or management experience.
  • General proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other applicable computer software packages, as needed.
  • Thorough knowledge of ethanol production, industrial bioprocessing, petrochemical, agro-industrial, heavy industry or other related experience.
  • Knowledge of DCS instrumentation or electrical background preferred.
