PLANT MANAGER - POWERHOUSE & UTILITIES - Global Recruiters Network - Elizabeth City : Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead the safe and efficient operation of the powerhouse & utilities at an established manufacturing plant. In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring full regulatory compliance, and leading efforts to enhance plant performance. We are particularly interested in candidates with a strong background in operations & maintenance (O&M) and expertise with power generation and powerhouse equipment.

Responsibilities

• Manage all plant operations, ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient performance
• Run the utilities at the manufacturing plant (i.e. powerhouse equipment, lights, generators, chilled water, wastewater, steam generators, compressed air, etc.)
• Oversee and implement preventive maintenance program to minimize downtime and extend equipment life
• Ensure full compliance with safety regulations and industry standards, fostering a strong safety culture throughout the plant
• Develop, monitor, and manage the plants operational budget
• Coordinate maintenance schedules and activities to ensure maximum uptime and productivity
• Lead and mentor plant personnel, providing training to improve operational expertise and maintain high safety standards
• Analyze operational data to identify areas of improvement, and implement strategies for process optimization

Requirements

• High school Diploma or equivalent
• 8+ years of relevant work experience
• 3+ years of supervisory experience
• Understanding of power generation & powerhouse equipment including chilled water, heat recovery steam generators (HRSGs), control systems, and water treatment systems.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
