Plant Operations Manager - Midwestern Pet Foods : Job Details

Midwestern Pet Foods is seeking an Operations Manager in their Waverly, NY facility.

The operations manager will provide support by promoting continuous improvement in all plant operations.

Job Responsibilities:

· Schedule production runs to ensure orders are shipped promptly.

· Coordinate with department managers to ensure quality, on-time production and delivery.

· Coordinate with the corporate procurement team to order ingredients and product packaging. Assist with any discrepancies.

· Coordinate the daily activities of the production and operation teams.

· Assist the Plant Manager in facility projects and day-to-day operations.

· Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance with MPF standards.

· Evaluate equipment and facility upgrades to support continuous improvement.

· Assist in hiring and training production team members.

· Ensure that all Safety procedures and policies are being followed.

· Ensure that all Food Safety and Quality cGMP's and policies are being followed.

· Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

· Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance with industry standards.

· 5 plus years' experience of leadership role within supply chain planning, logistics planning, or supervision of manufacturing facility

· Strong written and verbal communication skills and abilities

· Working knowledge of production equipment

· Proactive problem solving skills
